Pressure & Surface Cleaning in Southwest Washington

Concrete, pavers, and patios collect moss, algae, and grime that make them slick and dingy. On hard surfaces, controlled pressure is exactly the right tool — and we use it well.

Pressure / Surface Cleaning

The right pressure for hard surfaces

Not everything should be soft washed — and not everything should be blasted with a wand. Hard, durable surfaces like concrete and pavers respond best to controlled high pressure with a flat surface cleaner, which produces an even, stripe-free result instead of the zebra lines a bare wand leaves behind.

In our climate, driveways and walkways grow a slick layer of algae and moss, especially in shade. Beyond looking dingy, that growth is a real slip hazard. We also tackle oil stains, rust, gum, and the weeds and moss that creep up between pavers.

We match the method to the surface: pressure where it works, and a soft wash pre-treatment where growth needs to be killed at the root before rinsing.

Why It Matters

What surface cleaning restores

Restored Surfaces

Years of grime, moss, and staining lift away to reveal the original surface.

Safer Footing

Removing algae and moss eliminates the slick, slippery layer that causes falls.

Boosted Curb Appeal

A clean driveway and walkway make the whole property look sharp and maintained.

Prep for Sealing

A properly cleaned surface is the essential first step before sealing or staining.

Our Process

How we get it done

01

Evaluate

We identify the surface type and any oil, rust, or heavy growth that needs pre-treatment.

02

Pre-Treat

Moss, algae, and stubborn stains get a cleaning solution so they release fully, not just on the surface.

03

Surface Clean

A flat surface cleaner delivers even, controlled pressure for a uniform, stripe-free finish.

04

Detail & Rinse

Edges and tight spots are detailed with a wand, then everything is rinsed clean.

Before After

The Evergreen Difference

From grimy and green to clean

Drag to compare. A flat surface cleaner is what gives concrete that even, edge-to-edge finish — no wand stripes.

FAQ

Pressure / Surface Cleaning questions, answered

Isn’t pressure washing bad for surfaces?
On siding and roofs, yes — that’s why we soft wash those. But hard, durable surfaces like concrete and pavers are made to handle controlled pressure, and a surface cleaner gives a far more even result than a bare wand.
What surfaces can you pressure wash?
Driveways, sidewalks, walkways, patios, pavers, pool decks, steps, retaining walls, and most concrete or masonry hardscapes.
Can you remove oil or rust stains?
Often, yes. Oil, rust, and organic stains are pre-treated with the right products before cleaning. Some deep or old stains may lighten rather than disappear completely, and we’ll set honest expectations up front.
Why do my surfaces get slippery here?
Our shade and constant moisture grow a thin film of algae and moss on concrete, which becomes very slick when wet. Cleaning it off removes both the look and the slip hazard.
Should I seal my concrete or pavers after cleaning?
Sealing after a thorough cleaning helps repel stains and slows regrowth, extending how long your surfaces stay looking great. Ask us and we’ll advise based on your surface.
